We set out to capture the magical charm of the traditional shepherd's hut whilst giving you a very special contemporary living space on wheels, built and  equipped to the highest specifications. As an extension of your home, the Southdowner makes an ideal studio, home office, childrens' room, guest accommodation or pool-house. What makes Southdown Shepherds Huts different from other garden buildings are the ways in which we have combined the traditional shepherds huts features such as curved roofs and cast-iron wheels, with modern high quality interiors - including oak flooring, double-glazed cottage windows, wall-mounted spotlights, even the option of a fitted shower room, complete with shower cubicle, flushing toilet and basin.
Our shepherds huts are built to last for years, using hardwearing, maintenance- free materials: zinc roofing, oak chassis and cedral weatherboard sides. As garden buildings on wheels they are delivered to you, beautifully fitted, to suit any number of purposes:  romantic guest accommodation, a home-office, therapy studio, teenagers' den, children’s playroom, pool house changing room, somewhere inspirational to write, make music, or simply a cosy bolthole to get away from it all.
